Stockholmradio - the Swedish Communications Radio station!
Since May 1, 2003 Stockholmradio is a subsidiary of the Viamare Group
- One of the main services of Stockholmradio is the Coast Radio Station, providing merchant shipping, passenger ferries, fishing vessels, pleasure craft and others with phone links to the public network, navigational warnings, marine weather forecasts, wind warnings and Boating Assistance.
The CRS operates on HF, MF and VHF. - Stockholmradio is also one of a very few Air Operational Controls (AOC) or Long Distance Operational Controls (LDOC) in the world, providing the aviation community with flight operational phone patches, message delivery, meteorological info etc.
The LDOC operates on HF only. - Stockholm Radio is situated at Nacka Strand, just to the east of the Swedish capital.
- 20 highly experienced and multi-skilled operators are the backbone of Stockholm Radio, ready to provide their service 24/7.
- AOCC (Airline Operational Control Center) is a fairly newly developed service. At AOCC we assist with flight planning, flight watch, crew managent as well as other services (please see the link on the left hand side)
